Meetings comprise twenty-four competitors with no reserves.
The draw positions for the first meeting in the series are determined by the riding numbers. For subsequent meetings they are determined by the final placings in the previous meeting. Rider Nos. 1 to 8 are seeded directly to the Main Event, whilst Nos. 9 to 24 start in the Pre-Main Event.
The Pre-Main and Main Events use a repechage format that eliminates riders finishing in third or fourth place more than once. The Final Event is run on a straight knockout basis.

In the Pre-Main and Main Events, riders take the starting gate positions indicated. In the Final Event, starting gate positions are drawn by ballot. Gate A is on the inside of the track, whilst Gate D is on the outside.
Where two or more riders fail to finish in a heat, excluded riders followed by riders completing the least distance are placed lower.
The final classification is determined as follows:
1st in Heat 25 = 1st place
2nd in Heat 25 = 2nd place
3rd in Heat 25 = 3rd place
4th in Heat 25 = 4th place
3rd in Heat 23 & 24 = 5th & 6th place*
4th in Heat 23 & 24 = 7th & 8th place*
3rd in Heats 21 & 22 = 9th & 10th place*
4th in Heats 21 & 22 = 11th & 12th place*
3rd in Heats 17 & 18 = 13th & 14th place*
4th in Heats 17 & 18 = 15th & 16th place*
3rd in Heats 11 & 12 = 17th & 18th place*
4th in Heats 11 & 12 = 19th & 20th place*
